VACDL's 30th Anniversary Annual Meeting and Fall CLE will be held at Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center, 1000 Virginia Center Parkway, Glen Allen, VA 23059 on Friday, October 7, 2022.

   This program will be presented as a hybrid event: we will allow up to 100 in-person attendees in Glen Allen, and an unlimited number of virtual attendees, via Zoom. Breakfast, lunch and other refreshments will be provided to attendees throughout the program.

 Board Meeting and Reception: On Thursday, October 6, 2022, the VACDL Board of Directors will meet in the Ballroom (in the Madison building) from 4-5:30 p.m. All VACDL members in good standing are welcome to attend the Board Meeting, but please inform our Executive Director, Danielle Payne, if you plan to attend so that she can ensure sufficient seating in the meeting room.  

  We will also host a "happy hour" style reception in the Ballroom Pre-function space (in the Madison Building) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 6 2022 which will be open to all Annual Meeting registrants, speakers and special guests.  Around 7:00 p.m., VACDL will announce the recipient of the B. Leigh Drewry, Jr. Defender of Justice Award, as well as the recipient of the VACDL Champion of Justice Award. We ask our VACDL members, particularly our Past VACDL Presidents, to make every effort to attend this special reception, in honor of our organization's 30th Anniversary.

Parking: For Friday's seminar, parking is available on the hotel grounds, in multiple lots adjacent to the Madison, Monroe and Jefferson buildings.

PUBLIC DEFENDERS: Group discounts are available for virtual attendees! If 3 PDs from the same office wish to attend virtually, a 4th attorney can be registered to attend virtually for free! Office Managers are asked to please contact VACDL's Executive Director at vacdlawyers@gmail.com before registering any individual attorneys so that a group invoice can be generated.

This course has been APPROVED for 6.0 live-interactive CLE credits, including 1 ethics credit.

Lunch and refreshment breaks on Friday, as well as the Thursday evening Awards Reception, are all included with the tuition fee.

All cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing only, by email to vacdlawyers@gmail.com, no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 30, 2022 to receive a refund of the tuition less a $25 administrative fee.

Registrants may pay by credit card online or by check payable to VACDL and mailed to 3126 W Cary Street, #615, Richmond, VA 23221. However, we can only accept mailed payments until September 30, 2022.  There will be NO walk-in registrations; all registration fees must be paid in advance of the program.
